MARRIAGE IS SIMPLE
Start Your Next Chapter With Clarity and Confidence.
Planning a wedding is exciting. Planning your financial future together deserves the same care.
A marriage contract gives you an opportunity to talk openly about your finances, understand each other’s priorities, and agree on how certain property, debts and financial responsibilities will be handled during the marriage and if your relationship ends.

Whether you are preparing for your first marriage, bringing assets into a new relationship, or marrying again with children from a previous relationship, Marriage is Simple by Divorce is Simple offers a supportive, collaborative approach.
Your Marriage Contract Package
$4,999 + HST per couple
Our package brings together financial disclosure support, mediation and legal services to help you move from your first conversation to a signed marriage contract.
Financial clarity with Maddy Osborne
Up to four hours of financial disclosure support per couple to help you organize your assets, debts and income information, with supporting documents for the lawyers’ review.
Guided conversations with Sharon Montgomery
Two 90-minute mediation sessions to discuss your priorities, explore areas where you need agreement, and develop terms you both understand.
A professionally drafted marriage contract
A family lawyer prepares your marriage contract using your agreed terms and financial disclosure.
Independent legal advice for each partner
Each of you meets with a separate lawyer to understand your rights, obligations and the implications of the proposed contract before deciding whether to sign.
Coordination through to signing
We help coordinate the exchange of documents, legal review and signing arrangements so you know what comes next.
A Thoughtful Approach to Your Future
These conversations can feel sensitive. Our role is to give you both space to ask questions, explain what matters to you, and work toward a shared understanding.

You do not need to arrive with every detail settled. We will help you organize the financial information and guide your discussions, with separate legal advice so each partner can make an informed decision.
What Can You Discuss?
Depending on your circumstances, your discussions may include:
Property and savings you bring into the marriage.
Ownership and future treatment of a home.
Existing debts and responsibility for future debts.
Gifts, inheritances and family wealth.
How property would be dealt with if you separate.
Spousal support arrangements, subject to legal advice
Financial concerns arising from a previous relationship.
Already Married?
Marriage contracts can also be considered after the wedding. Contact us to discuss your circumstances and whether our package is suitable for you.
