How It Works

Divorce mediation is at the heart of what we do — it’s the foundation of our divorce packages, guiding the creation of a fair, personalised separation agreement that reflects your unique situation and priorities.

Step One: Financial Disclosure

The first step in a respectful and efficient divorce process is transparency. You’ll work with a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) to organize and review your financial information. This includes assets, debts, income, and expenses. A clear financial picture lays the groundwork for a fair and informed agreement — and helps reduce conflict and confusion later in the process.

Step Two: Divorce Mediation

Divorce mediation is at the heart of what we do. With the support of an experienced mediator, you and your spouse will work together to resolve key issues — such as parenting, support, and division of property — in a respectful, cooperative setting. Our mediators are skilled in helping both parties feel heard, stay focused, and reach workable solutions without going to court.

Step Three: Separation Agreement

Using the outcomes from mediation, we’ll draft a customised separation agreement that reflects the decisions you’ve made. This legal document outlines everything from parenting arrangements to financial support and asset division. We ensure your agreement is thorough, fair, and tailored to your needs, helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Step Four: Independent Legal Advice (ILA)

Before finalizing your separation agreement, each party will meet with their own lawyer to receive Independent Legal Advice (ILA). This step ensures that you fully understand your rights and obligations — and confirms that your agreement is legally sound. We connect you with trusted legal professionals who provide clear, practical guidance so you can sign with confidence.

Optional Step: Divorce Decree

Once it has been at least one year since your official date of separation, you may choose to file for a divorce decree to formally end your marriage. If you decide to take this step, we can assist you with the paperwork and filing process to ensure everything is handled correctly and efficiently.
